Why We Exist
Every day, veterinarians see the same story play out: a beloved dog or cat develops painful oral disease that goes unnoticed until it's advanced — driving up treatment costs, causing unnecessary suffering, and in many cases contributing to damage that reaches far beyond the mouth. Oral health issues are one of the most common, most preventable, and most overlooked conditions in companion animals, yet daily home care remains rare and early detection is the exception rather than the rule.
PawDX was founded to close that gap.
We believe pet parents deserve the same standard of preventative, proactive care for their animals that has become expected in human health — early detection, consistent maintenance, and a clear path forward before small problems become big ones. That belief is the foundation of everything we build.
Who We Are
PawDX is a privately held company built around a simple mission: make proactive oral health care accessible, understandable, and routine for every dog and cat. Our Executive team brings decades of hands-on experience across the fields that make that mission possible:
• 35+ years in emergency veterinary medicine, with firsthand knowledge of what happens when preventative care is missed.
• Decades of experience owning and operating emergency veterinary hospitals, giving us a ground-levelunderstanding of animal health outcomes
• Decades of experience in human health and dental insurance, having led large insurance organizations serving employer groups and associations
• Decades of leadership experience within big pharma, bringing rigor and scale to how health products are developed and delivered
• Deep domestic and international logistics expertise, honed by successfully delivering medical supplies to thousands of healthcare entities across the United States
• A proven track record in retail and pharmacy distribution, having brought OTC products to hundreds of pharmacies and retailers nationwide
This combination — veterinary medicine, insurance, pharma, and logistics — is uncommon, and it's by design. Preventative pet oral care sits at the intersection of all four, and closing the gap we set out to fill requires expertise in each one.

PawDX exists to give pet parents the tools, insight, and support to catch problems early and build simple daily habits that protect their pets' health and quality of life for years to come.
